Biochemical indicators of cardiovascular health, antioxidant status, inflammation, and blood glucose regulation significantly improved with multivitamin, multimineral, herbal, essential Oil–infused supplement.

Vitamins and minerals are chemical compounds essential for the normal functioning of the body. They are required for various body processes including energy metabolism, cell regulation, and a healthy immune system. Many multi-mineral and multi-vitamins are available in the market. Xuesheng Han and his colleagues conducted a pilot trial to assess the health-related benefits of multivitamin, multi-mineral, herbal, essential oil–infused supplement using serum bio-markers, qualitatively as well as quantitatively.

A total of sixteen participants were enrolled, and they were prescribed to consume the supplement for two months. Various serum components levels including total cholesterol, high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol, triglycerides, lipoprotein(a), LDL/HDL cholesterol ratio, total/HDL cholesterol ratio, ferritin, fibrinogen, C-reactive protein, insulin, testosterone, sex hormone binding globulin, free androgen index, red blood cell magnesium, homocysteine, coenzyme Q10, lipid peroxides, alpha-tocopherol, gamma-tocopherol, cardiovascular index, eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), arachidonic acid (AA), and the AA/EPA ratio were calculated. The results indicated that there was a notable improvement (p<.05) observed in markers comprising  HDL cholesterol, LDL/HDL cholesterol ratio, homocysteine, fasting insulin, EPA, serum vitamin E, and the AA/EPA ratio after two months of supplementation. These findings suggested that supplementation induces a significant positive effect on biochemical indicators of cardiovascular health, inflammation, antioxidant status, and blood glucose regulation. Every outcome in the 16-item qualitative survey was also improved after two months of supplementation. Among these, twelve of these findings showed significant improvement. At the end of two month supplementation period, an increase in mental clarity, control, energy, motivation, balance, and happiness, while reporting less muscle and back pain, flu and cold incidence, anxiety, frustration, and irritation were also reported by the patients. Finally, it was concluded that the health supplement might provide a broad range of health benefits for users in a short period.
